How do I add team channels?
Team channels turn Staynup notifications into action. They give Managers a place to handle AI handoffs and Staff a place to receive operational tasks without constantly opening the dashboard.
Channels are optional, but they are important once your team is operating day to day.
The Manager channel
Use the Manager channel for the people who coordinate the business. Staynup sends guest handoffs, approval requests, and important alerts here. Managers can also teach the AI by messaging it directly in this channel.
The Staff channel
Use the Staff channel for frontline work. Staynup sends task notifications here, such as cleaning jobs created from reservations or guest requests.
You can use one channel for the whole staff team or a direct message for a smaller operation.
Connect a channel
- 1Choose a platform
Pick WhatsApp, Zalo, or Telegram based on what your team already uses.
- 2Choose direct message or group
Use a group when several people share responsibility; use a direct message for a smaller or private workflow.
- 3Send the setup token
Send the token shown in Staynup to the bot and follow the instructions on screen.
- 4Confirm the connection
Staynup confirms that the channel is connected and ready for notifications.
Connect the Manager channel first. It is the most important channel because it receives handoffs when the AI needs a human decision.
Without a connected channel, notifications and handoffs remain in the dashboard. Your team can still work there, but they may miss time-sensitive requests.
